What is your job and how long have you worked at Abbracci Med Spa?
I am a Medical Aesthetician and Permanent Make Up Artist. I joined the Abbracci family in May last year, and it has been a wonderful experience to work with such a talented and professional team.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
I love how the Spa is committed to delivering excellence! All the products and protocols are designed to deliver effective results. It is very rewarding when clients leave the treatment room with a smile of happiness and relaxation.
Can you explain a little about what you do differently, or what sets you apart?
Dealing with acne for my entire life really helps me relate to clients’ fears, concerns and expectations. When it comes to treating teenagers and adults that struggle with acne, I try to use extra care and sympathy, since it’s a skin condition that can really affect our emotional side.
What is your favorite treatment at Abbracci?
Microneedling is one of my favorite treatments at Abbracci Med Spa. The results are cumulative, and the improvement in firmness and texture is fantastic. It really lessens the appearance of wrinkles and acne scars.
What are your top three skin recommendations?
Homecare regimes don’t have to be complicated, but they have to be effective! For overall skin health, I recommend Vitamin C during the day, because it’s an amazing antioxidant and fights free radicals. It is also brightening and tightening. Vitamin A at night, retinols, play a critical role when it comes to anti-aging by keeping the cell turnover going. Also, Vitamin E for the body, which is also anti-aging and speeds up cell regeneration.
What is one thing you wish your clients knew about taking care of their skin?
I wish they all knew the difference between over-the-counter vs. medical grade products. OTC products cannot penetrate the first layer on the surface of the skin, while medical grade products can reach the dermis, which is the only way to achieve changes in the skin. It kills me when a client spends hundreds of dollars on OTC products and don’t realize they’re paying for the brand and marketing, and not improvements to the skin.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working/what are some of your hobbies?
I love to stay home watching movies with my daughter; spending time with family and friends really warms my heart.
If you weren’t an aesthetician, what would you do?
If I hadn’t fallen in love with aesthetics 10 years ago, I would have continued my marketing career.
What is your favorite meal?
I love seafood! Cioppino (seafood stew) is one of my favorites!
What is your cocktail of choice?
You can never go wrong with a bubbly glass of Prosecco!
Where would your dream destination/vacation be?
I’ve been lucky enough to visit most of the places I’ve dreamed of, but I really need to check Amsterdam off my list!
