Dysport, like Botox, uses a formulation of the botulinum toxin, but usually works quicker and is less expensive. It is effective in treating wrinkles on the forehead, between the brows, and crow’s feet around the eyes. It is a fast treatment to perform (10-15 minutes) and usually become effective within 48 – 72 hours, with no downtime.

The Restylane family of fillers uses a different formulation, composed of hyaluronic acid. This gel-like substance is injected into folds, such as in the nasolabial area, to smooth the skin and restore lost volume. Because this is a thicker element, the treatment is performed after the application of topical anesthetic, and takes about 15 minutes.
